2025

The 40135 large cylindrical lithium battery achieved mass production at the Dalian branch. The Nanjing branch expanded the production capacity of 32140 large cylindrical full-tab lithium batteries, adding 3GWh of capacity. Began to deploy production capacity in Malaysia. Top 2 for26650/ 26700 cylindrical cell shipments. Top 3 for 32140 large cylindrical cell. 2024

Announced collaboration with ANKER. Ranked among the Top 5 for 32140 large cylindrical cell shipments, capturing a 19% global market share.

2023

Expanded into the portable power supply market. Achieved industry-first scaled production of sodium-ion batteries. Established Shangqiu branch.

2022

The project of introducing large cylindrical full-tab lithium battery into the energy storage and electric motorcycle sectors has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent surge in orders.

2021

The 32140 large cylindrical full-tab lithium battery achieved mass production； Acquire Zhejiang Hitrans Technology and layout the cathode material business.

2020

Its subsidiary, Nanjing CBAK New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., was established with a registered capital of 700 million yuan. The construction of the Nanjing branch began, with a planned production capacity of 20GWh, to expand the market for large cylindrical batteries.

2018

Reached cooperation with Viessmann, a world-leading German energy storage system manufacturer, becoming its sole domestic battery supplier to expand into the energy storage market.

2013

Established Dalian CBAK Power Battery Co., Ltd., focusing on development and production of the 26-Series Battery.

2009

Partnered with leading automakers such as BAIC, Brilliance, Chery, and UK double-decker bus manufacturers to jointly develop new energy vehicles.

CBAK Energy was listed on NASDAQ with the stock code CBAT. Built one of China's first fully automated cylindrical battery production lines.
